Cramming more into the Phone

ZDNet on putting Atomic Clocks in Cell Phones

What they already did:

phone

roaming

clock

address book

dial back

calendar

speed dial

voice mail

camera

video

And more. And now atomic clocks. This is awesome. When I'm allowed to have one, it's going to be sweet. Loaded with everything. That is, if I have the money. It's a little ridiculous, the prices they're charging. Some of them cost more than my Palm Pilot. Not that my Palm's the greatest model, it's only an m100. But it plays games and beeps, and I got it for free, so that's all I really need. Of course, they're making phones with Palm OS in them now. And watches with Palm OS. Maybe they'll make a watch phone that has Palm OS. And satellite TV. And a Nintendo/PS2/PC/graphing calculator. THAT would be really awesome.

Where am I going with this? I have no clue. Oh well, thanks for reading this. By the way, I have enabled a feature that allows you to email a post to a friend. Please do so. I really need publicity.

SP2 Bungles Debut

Stumbling over SP2

Microsoft has several mistakes in its new SP2, even conflicting with their own software. You should DEFINITELY back up your system before installing this. I haven't done it yet, so I'm not going to rant and rave, but I might when I do, so keep coming back.

Epsuck printers

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever get an Epson printer.

I have an Epson Stylus C82. It's dead. It will no longer print, even after changing cartridges, because the heads got totally clogged beyond repair. Heads cost about as much as the printer. So now I'm getting a new one. Specifically, a Canon. Because Epson printers suck. Which is why I'm calling it Epsuck. Just do a Google search for "Epson C82 doesn't work". Go ahead, I dare you. You'll get a TON of bad reviews from people whose Epsuck printers just died. Do yourself a favor and don't get an Epsuck. If you do, it'll cost you hundreds in ink, all spent in vain.

New Device Allows for Immortality

Not really, but I've been looking at a goofy little site that says there is.

Stick Figure Fighting
Don't click on the thing that talks about the device.

Just What we Need

ZDNet UK News: "Microsoft aims to make blogging big in Japan"

This is intresting, especially the way Microsoft is aiming for corprate blogs. Not only is Microsoft entering a field which is already heavily populated, but it's taking it in a whole new direction.

I don't know why you would want a blog for your company unless you run a periodical. And then you're probably hosting it yourself. Unless Mr. Gates sees something I don't, this is gonna be somewhat of a flop.

Besides, it's quite obvious that this is an attempt to catch up with Google.

However, they pushed into the console gaming industry and made it. There's really no way to tell what will happen.
