Chaos Theory and the Imagination: The Idealand Theory

Before I say anything I would like to recognize Scott Adams for his book "The Dilbert Future," which provided information and inspiration for me to write this. Everybody's dreamed, pretended, or done some related activity; at least I hope everybody has. If you haven't, you really need to get a life. When you do think, however, something physical is happening. The best way to describe all the nerve impulses would be like a telephone operation room. By the Chaos Theory, those small disturbances are effecting something else somewhere else in some larger way.

The Chaos Theory isn't a really complicated concept, and is known by many. One way to describe it, as it was put in "The Dilbert Future," is a butterfly flapping its wings over several days straight to cause inaccuracies in a weather system. There's also a poem about it having to do with a missing nail for a horseshoe so a knight can't ride into battle and the battle is lost, but I don't know how it goes or who wrote it. I'll post it later. Going back to our minds, the pulses that go through them must be affecting the surrounding molecules in some way, which will then affect other molecules onward, creating some larger disturbance in another location.

All these disturbances are going someplace, and it certainly isn't where we are. It is possible that these disturbances would create some sort of experience where the amplified impulses would make the brain perceive whatever imagined idea that was affected by the Chaos Theory as reality. In other words, you could not only see Charlie Brown, but you could hear him, smell him, feel him, and taste him if you're that weird. This isn't on our plane of existence, because tabloids are just in it for the money, and aren't perceiving their reports as real (at least I hope they aren't). The disturbances, therefore, are moving to another universe or dimension. If a human were able to go there, the impulses would cause them to perceive ideas as reality, create an "Idealand"
